About Us

Evensplit.org was established in 2010 to give a place for independent musicians and writers to use their output for a greater good. The site is currently under construction and is expected to be live and in beta sometime in the spring of 2011.

The organization is currently incorporated in the state of New Jersey and has 501(c)3 status pending with the IRS. Contributors to the project currently reside on both coasts of the US and in the Netherlands.

Our team includes:

• Mikey Casalaina, Director: A musician, writer, and web developer, Mikey imagined a site where creative-types could use their digital media for a greater good. Leaning on the talents of friends and family, Mikey's hoping to see it come to fruition. Mikey likes the word "fruition."
• Taylor Smith, Web Director: Taylor is the chief coder and the brains behind the guts behind the operation. Taylor is also one of the founding members of Lateporter and loop/recur.
• Joseph Casalaina, Treasurer: A retired computer-engineer, Joe is leading the financial and legal arm of the operation. Joe is also an active board-member at Dorothea's House in Princeton, NJ.
• Saikat Paul, Secretary: Saikat is a registered Project Management Professional, which means he's not f'ing around.
