Just a quick Happy New Year from your friends at evensplit.org.  Check back in the next couple days as our prototype site design is scheduled to go live any day now!

A HUGE thank you from evensplit.org to the New Jersey Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and the fine folks at Lowenstein Sandler PC.  We were seeking qualified lawyers to help us get our paperwork in order, and thanks to the support of these two incredible groups, we’ve gotten so many i’s dotted and t’s crossed, we’re finally in good shape submit for nonprofit status with the IRS.

To Tracy at NJVLA and Carmen and Annie at Lowenstein, we can’t thank you enough!

Well, if you’re going to push a website, I guess you need a website.  Welcome to the latest incarnation of a placeholder EvenSplit.org as we work behind the scenes coding the actual EvenSplit.org.  This looks a bit more like …but not quite … what we intend the actual site to look like.

We’re still a little preoccupied with the building process but we should start blogging soon about where we’re at, as well as other great things we’ve found on the web since embarking on this project.  And, we’re still on track for some sort of beta-testing in the winter, so check back soon!

Working from different sides of the globe and different timezones, the EvenSplit.org team is continuing work on the effort.  We’re currently building the actual service side from the ground up and burying ourselves in paperwork.  The next couple months should be a bit quiet as we do a lot of work on the back-end, but expect a flurry of site changes and beta testing sometime in fall/winter of this year!

As we begin work on this project, we’ve established a temporary site as a placeholder to explain the concept as we begin the real work of really building a site from the ground-up.  It’s a very exciting time for this new-born of a web presence!  Time will tell how long it will take before you can visit EvenSplit.org and be greeted with actual music and ePub books, but for now, it’s a work in progress.
